January So Far

So, it's only been a few weeks, yet it seems like January has gone on forever! We've been busy, though not as busy as we'd like. It's been a particularly rainy month, so our planned trips to Sea World and the local medieval fair were put on hold.



One cool thing about the rain is that there are all sorts of frogs hopping around...and E found one that didn't mind being held (for a couple minutes anyway).

















We also got our long awaited chandelier, and Han put it up...



In other news, we have been discussing the wait times for our China adoption, and this month decided to pursue a concurrent adoption (which means doing another one at the same time...which will actually be completed before the China one is). We researched countries, agencies, etc....and have decided to adopt a little boy from Ethiopia! We are very very excited, and E can't wait to bring his little brother home. Our China agency has been so nice and helpful. They will update our home study and our immigration papers, so that whole process will go much faster this time. The agency we picked for the Ethiopia adoption is also great. They have already accepted our application and sent us our dossier checklist. Thankfully the paperwork for Ethiopia is easier. I think we'll be able to finalize the adoption this year, though we're really hoping for the summer :-) We're going to update the adoptions in separate blogs for now...see the top left for the links...
